Memorizing the Gospel of JOHN
Starting Monday, May 23rd, 2011, a group of Scripture enthusiasts around the world will embark on a pursuit to discover the treasure of the Gospel of JOHN. Our pace is 20 verses each week. We suggest 4 verses each day Mon - Fri with the weekend used for review, catch-up, and/or extra meditation. We also have some extra catch-up, review, meditation and mastery time scheduled at the end of each chapter and at the end of every 7th chapter. We hope 1) through the internet to provide personal encouragement, support, and a online community for mutual sharing of insights, questions, memorizing tips, and testimonies to people around the world who might not otherwise be motivated to memorize JOHN on their own. 2) To inspire schools, churches, homeschool groups, Bible studies, friends, families, etc. to form their own "Memorize the Gospel of JOHN" group so they get the added benefit of face to face encouragement, accountability and support. All are welcome to join us, either catching up to the group to memorize the whole book, or jumping on board for your favorite chapter when we reach it. Our schedule, Lord willing, is: Week of May 23rd = 1:1-20 Week of May 30th = 1:21-40 Week of June 6th = complete, review and master chapter 1 Week of June 13th = 2:1-20; Week of June 20th = complete, review and master chapter 2 Week of June 27th = 3:1-20 Week of July 4th = complete, review and master chapter 3 Week of July 11th = 4:1-20; Week of July 18th = 4:21-40 Week of July 18th = complete, review and master chapter 4 Week of July 25th = 5:1-20; Week of August 1st = 5:21-40 Week of August 8th = complete, review and master chapter 5 Week of August 15th = 6:1-20; Week of August 22nd = 6:21-40 Week of August 29th = 6:41-60 Week of September 5th = complete, review and master chapter 6 Week of Sept 12th = 7:1-20; Week of Sept 19th = 7:21-40 Week of Sept 26th = complete, review and master chapter 7 Week of October 3rd = Quote JOHN 1 - 7 between 3 and 7 times Week of October 10th = 8:1-20; Week of Oct 17th = 8:21-40 Week of Oct 24th = complete, review and master chapter 8 Week of Oct 31st = From April 17th - April 30th review and practice quoting. I encourage all living in the USA to memorize and encourage, inspire and equip 7-18 year olds around you to memorize the Bible Bee verses, available in the NIV, KJV, NKJ, ESV, and NASB. For more information on this wonderful opportunity, visit www.biblebee.org November 15th - ___________ = next year's Scripture-Memory- Support.org short book memory project. What book of around 100 verses would you like to see us memorize next?
